Graham Financial - Trusted since 1985.

Not everyone needs a financial planner...
but everyone needs a financial plan.

We know the impact great financial advice can have on your life. We also understand the consequences that poor financial decisions can have.

Our purpose is to ensure our clients are in a position where they, not their finances, dictate their lifestyle.

We specialise in helping clients prepare for retirement and those in retirement.

The earlier we see people, the better their outcome, but we tend to find we can add the most value to those aged 35 and above.

Our Foundation for Success

Our values have formed the foundation of our business since its inception.

Trust, Competence, Honesty, Fairness and Diligence. These are the foundational values that underpin all aspects of our business and have done since 1985.
More About Our Values

My father introduced me to Graham Financial when I was 24 years of age and thought that I would get on well with Gordon. I started investing small amounts each year as I finished my trade and into employment. Basically, just letting things grow. Cathy and I continued investing after we were married. Martin came on board with Graham Financial and he phoned us to organise a meeting. His country background and his legislative background of working in Government in Canberra were a great combination for us. Martin’s understanding of the big picture but also his ability to simplify and explain the often complex information of the financial planning industry has been valuable to us.

I have complete trust in the management of our portfolio and know that Martin will make the necessary changes to align with our goals and contact us if he has suggestions on what we need to do. He always follows up and makes himself available to answer our questions. We are not too far from retiring now and we have been happy to see our investments blossom over the years.

I met Gordon many years ago through a high-profile television industrial development debate where we were on opposing sides. I knew he was a Financial Adviser and I had recently gone through a difficult time and needed some help. Gordon had just started his business in 1985 and I went to see him. He guided me through this period with care and understanding. It was the beginning of a business relationship which has now spanned 35 years.

When Graham Financial changed hands and Ben became my adviser, I will admit that I was a little hesitant, as Ben seemed quite young and I wasn’t sure how it would go. These concerns were alleviated by Ben’s knowledge of the financial planning industry, his understanding of the ever-evolving world financial situation and the ease in which we were able to build a strong partnership.

Ben is always professional and his ability to educate me along the way has been extremely valuable. He is genuine, modest and his values of honesty and integrity fit with my own value system.

I have been through the 17% interest rates, recession, the Global Financial Crisis and now the COVID pandemic with Graham Financial and I know there is nowhere else I would rather be. The thought of changing advisers has never crossed my mind.

Since I was 19 years of age, I had a specific dream and Ben has helped me turn that dream into a reality. I am eternally grateful to the Graham Financial Team.

Having been burned badly by our previous financial advisors, who literally worked our portfolio for their own financial benefit and not ours, we decided to manage our accounts without any financial advisor.

We did alright for a few years but when we were introduced to Graham Financial we decided it was time to engage a professional team who are continually up to date with the complexities of the ever changing finance world. What could it hurt to listen to another professional spruiking their business!?

Our first meeting was extremely productive as Martin communicated in depth but at our level of understanding.  For us it was natural to be sceptical and we put Martin through what could only be described as a long interrogation. It is a testament to Martin and his team that they actually took us on as clients and we are forever grateful that they did. Our accounts are now balanced, directly aligned with our investment objectives and constantly managed to maintain our profile.

Having been with Graham Financial for several years now our only regret is that we didn’t engage them earlier. Their advice is well rounded, backed with sound research and most importantly with a complete understanding of our specific requirements.

My wife Jenny and I joined Graham Financial in 2009.

Our experience with Ben Graham and his staff since then has been an exceptionally good one. Firstly, we enjoy the boutique style of the firm where clients meet with either Ben, or his partner Martin Webb, face to face for our meetings. The culture is that each client deserves the very best advice, attention and respect and that financial advice is tailored to their individual requirements and not just a broad-brush approach.

We are impressed with Graham Financial's research resources and Ben's personal association with a range of senior fund managers and top economic specialists.

Graham Financial fill all our needs for advice and management of our super funds and investment portfolio and consider ourselves fortunate to have the firm so conveniently situated for us in Toowoomba.

I am indebted to Martin for a recent consultation which was necessitated after an unexpected organisational restructure at my workplace, meaning my 26 year career was at risk. I had planned to work for another 2-3 years, but it looked like I might have to bring my retirement forward and I had no idea if my self managed super fund was in a position to fund this change of plans.

Martin produced two scenarios for me to consider with a step by step explanation (not in ‘accountant speak’) of how I could achieve an earlier retirement and what the overall financial plan would look like.

I’m sure there are many people like me in their 60’s who wish they had started their retirement planning earlier, but I left Martin’s office with a clear picture of the way forward and my anxiety was replaced with optimism, and an easy night’s sleep, knowing that he had a measured plan in place which I could now rely on, despite these uncertain times.
